Development Consultants play a key role in supporting the development of content for new qualifications and assessments, shaping the experiences of learners in the future.

Development Consultants are subject matter experts who come from a range of backgrounds including industry, colleges and training providers.

This is an associate role with a flexible ad hoc working pattern, dependent on development priorities.

  • About the role

      Development Consultants will undertake activities such as:

      • developing unit content
      • drafting assessment materials – including multiple-choice questions and practical assignments
      • reviewing and amending unit content and assessments
      • calculating and reviewing content learning hour values
      • ensuring that unit content and assessment materials are valid, fit for purpose and meet regulatory requirements.

      This is an associate role with a flexible ad hoc working pattern, dependent on development priorities.

  • About you

      You will need:

      • teaching and assessment experience in the relevant subject and level
      • up-to-date subject matter knowledge
      • experience of developing unit content and assessment materials
      • an understanding of current qualification design and delivery practice
      • an understanding of assessment principles
      • a passion for developing quality educational resources.
