External Quality Assurers (EQAs)

If so a role as an External Quality Assurer (EQA) may be for you.
We are always looking for new EQAs with solid quality assurance experience and current industry expertise. They provide our centres with guidance, support and current industry expertise to ensure our qualifications are delivered in line with our regulatory requirements. EQAs are contracted on an annual basis and are not employed by the City & Guilds Group.
The EQA role is both a challenging and rewarding experience. You will maintain effective working relationships with allocated centres and City & Guilds. This is a great opportunity to be able to use your expertise to provide advice and support to new and existing centres, planning and monitoring quality assurance in line with City & Guilds policies and procedures.

About the role
Our External Quality Assurers (EQAs) monitor the quality of assessments delivered by our centres, ensuring our qualifications are delivered in line with our regulatory requirements. They provide our centres with guidance, support and current industry expertise. EQAs are contracted on an annual basis and are not employed by the City & Guilds Group.

EQAs will receive support through a range of updates, webinars and briefings, to maintain a thorough knowledge of City & Guilds products, services, and policies.

About you
You will be experienced in quality assurance with current industry expertise for the areas you will be quality assuring. Have the ability and confidence to work with web based applications (this includes submitting reports online), work independently and have good communication, prioritisation and planning skills.
To be considered for the role you must also have achieved the Assessor and Internal Quality Assurer qualifications (D32, D33, D34 or A1, V1 or TAQA units).
As a requirement, EQAs must have achieved or be working towards the (6312-41) External Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (TAQA) or its equivalent (D35/ V2) in order to carry out centre visits. If you have not achieved these qualifications and you are successful in your application, you will be required to work towards this qualification with the support of City & Guilds.
