The Ampersand Awards
The Ampersand Awards are the City & Guilds staff awards – a great way for us to celebrate our values of leadership, imagination and integrity as well as our purpose.
More importantly, they offer the perfect opportunity to recognise our fellow colleagues and employees who consistently demonstrate our values and bring our purpose to life in their day-to-day work. Through the Ampersand Awards, we want to ensure that our people feel appreciated, recognised and inspired.
In 2022, the Awards headed into their sixth year and now more than ever we are looking to find superstars across the organisation who go above and beyond in the work that they do!
Employees can thank colleagues and let them know they appreciate them and the great work that they are doing. Just by nominating a person or a team – you could make their year! Not only are the Awards peer-nominated but they are also peer-assessed.

The different types of awards
We present up to four Ampersand Awards and in addition recognise a number of nominations as Highly Commended, as well as Team(s) of the Year.
In previous years we have also had an Apprentice of the Year. An individual Special Award and Special Team Award were also presented for the first time in 2019!
